Can you download pictures from Instagram?

You cannot download pictures directly from the Instagram application or website. But, you can use browser tricks, downloaders, and apps to download photos from Instagram.

Notes:

• Never save and use other people's photos for profit.
• If you want to use other people's pictures, then contact them and ask for their permission. You can use the chat function in the Instagram app to contact them.
• If you share other people's pictures, then you should give credit to the original photographer.
• Only Instagram can legally use photos from the application and sell them to an advertising agency.

How to download Instagram photos on a computer with Google Chrome

With this method, you can download photos from anybody on Instagram – even from someone who you follow, but has a private account.

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. Go to https://www.instagram.com.

3. Log into your account (if you're not already logged in).

4. Find the photo you want to download.

5. Click on the .. options button on the top right corner of the photo.

A options menu will appear.

6. Click on Go to post.

You can also click on the timestamp (the time or the date the photo was posted, e.g., 8 HOURS AGO or 4 DAYS AGO).

7. Right-click on an empty space on the page or the picture and choose View page source.

Now you will see the HTML source code of the page.

Don't worry if you are not familiar with HTML code.

I will show you how to find the URL (location of the picture on the Instagram servers) for the photo you want to download.

8. Press the [ctrl] + [F] key on your keyboard.

9. Enter jpg in the search field (top right).

10. Highlight (select) the URL of the Instagram photo.

11. Right-click on the highlighted (selected) URL and choose Go to https://instagram.fsub8-1.fna.fbcdn.net/vp/...

Google Chrome will now display the picture.

12. Right-click on the picture and choose Save image as.

13. Select a location on your computer where you want to save the picture.

14. Click on the Save button.

Google Chrome will now save the picture to your computer.

How to download Instagram photos on a computer with Firefox

With this method, you can download photos from anybody on Instagram – even from someone who you follow, but has a private account.

1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

2. Go to https://www.instagram.com.

3. Log into your account (if you're not already logged in).

4. Go to the profile you want to download the picture from.

5. Click on the photo you want to download to open it.

6. Right-click on the picture or somewhere else on that page and choose View Page Info.

7. Click on Media.

8. In the Address panel, you scroll down to the last photo(s) and click on it, so that the photo appears in Media Preview at the bottom.

9. Click on the Save As button at the top right of the picture.

10. Select a location on your computer where you want to save the Instagram photo.

11. Click on the Save button.

Firefox will now save the picture to your computer.

1. Open Firefox.

Most of them work the same and almost look the same. The only differences besides their web design are the names of the download buttons and input fields.

For this tutorial, we'll be using one Instagram photo downloader as an example, but the steps are the same for any other downloader.

You can use the following free online services to download and save Instagram photos on a computer:

You can use any web browser you want, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Opera, etc.

For the following steps, we'll be using dinsta.com as an example.

1. Open your web browser (e.g., Google Chrome).

2. Go to https://www.instagram.com.

3. Log into your account (if you're not already logged in).

4. Find the photo you want to download.

5. Click on the .. options button on the top right corner of the photo.

An options menu will appear.

6. Click on Copy Link.

You can also right-click on the timestamp (the time or the date the photo was posted, e.g., 8 HOURS AGO or 4 DAYS AGO) and choose Copy link address or Copy Link Location or Copy link.

7. Go to https://www.dinsta.com or another Instagram photo downloader.

8. Right-click in the Enter Instagram URL input field and choose Paste. For other downloaders the name of the field is probably different (e.g., Enter URL, Enter Image URL, etc.).

9. Click on the download button.

The picture will appear.

10. Click on the download button below the photo.

The picture will open in a new browser tab.

11. Right-click on the picture and choose Save image as.

12. Select a location on your computer where you want to save the picture.

13. Click on the Save button.

Your web browser will now save the picture to your computer.

2. Enter the username or the full name of the person whose profile photo you want to download.

3. Tap on their username when they appear.

4. When their profile picture appears, you tap on the save button below the profile photo.

The app will now save the profile picture to your Android phone.

You can find the profile photo in the ProfilePhoto folder on your phone.

On my Samsung phone, the profile picture did not show in the “Gallery” app. I found the photo in the following location on my phone: “My Files” app > Internal storage > ProfilePhoto.

You can also return to the start screen of the app, tap on SAVED, tap on the profile picture, and then tap on the ([+]) (save to gallery) button below the profile picture.
